These days it’s likely that your most valuable business (and personal) assets are located not in the bank...but…on your hard drive.
And, even if you have an extra external hard drive to back up your data like I do, it’s still vulnerable to damage if your office or home suffers a disaster.
Hence the evolution of a plethora of online data storage and sharing services.
Tech Crunch did a beautiful job of reviewing all the major players in this important arena.
You can read the review of a dozen different options to protect your precious data by clicking here.
I chose to give Streamload a try first because…well…it looked the coolest and it had most of the features that are important to an entrepreneur like share-ability and security.
However, after just one day of actively using the service I’ve already experienced problems with the software.
My files took a long time to upload and the online software had trouble loading in my FireFox browser.
So, I just opened a free 1 gigabyte demo account at Box.net and I can already tell just by the look of the operating environment that I’m going to like it better.
I’m interested to hear your comments on the various online file storage services so comment away!

Adam, I'm trying out Mozy and liking it so far. It is purely for file backup, runs in the background and has worked like a charm. I want to check out other services, though - especially Box.net - I've heard it's excellent.
